The Ruckus Smart Wireless Installation & Provisioning Engine (SWIPE) provides a streamlined solution for registering Ruckus Access Points (APs) managed through the Ruckus SZ or vSZ. The deployment process has been notably simplified; it now involves scanning the AP's barcode, inputting the AP name, capturing an image of the installed unit, and selecting a suitable configuration profile (AP Group). This process allows the AP to automatically connect to the SZ and download the necessary configurations with ease.

Furthermore, Ruckus SWIPE enhances remote management and troubleshooting capabilities for existing APs by identifying those with performance issues and enabling one-click navigation via Google Maps. It also includes functionality for assessing the performance of current APs and storing this data for further analysis.

Additionally, SWIPE addresses inefficiencies associated with manually recording updates for backend systems, such as AP serial numbers, MAC addresses, locations, and IP addresses. Users can easily share pertinent information—including serial numbers, MAC addresses, AP model numbers, firmware versions, geographical coordinates (Latitude/Longitude), and as-built photographs—via email, significantly reducing the risk of errors.

It is important to note that SWIPE requires SZ or vSZ version 2.5 or higher for optimal functionality.
